The mythology of evil is born from the documentary reality of a world that produces loneliness and decay.
One day I woke up and turned on the TV. The news was brutal. Six dead bodies, two of them children. In the following months dozens of theories poured out: they were murdered; a ritual suicide; a mafia settling of scores; human trafficking; pedophilia; a political thriller… For months a flood of information kept coming. Social networks spawned new versions every day. The truth drowned in explanations and no one understood it. And then you realize that beneath the surface of visible life there is another one, dark, dangerous and full of sinister secrets. This dark world is created by us humans - by our greed, need for power, corruption and cruelty. And it exists alongside the visible world.
Today I think how astonishing is the desire to enter the black without getting stained. Out of curiosity. For a little while. Just to understand. But this is not something you can observe from the outside. Evil begins to coexist with people when they stop noticing it.
I want to tell the story of this hidden world. When you look at frame after frame questions begin to emerge; you sense there is a hidden secret, that something has happened, and of course you want to know what it is. But you will reach only your guesses, just as in reality.
This is a story about the dark side of life. About a mystery that leaves more questions than answers.
